AOL is a pioneer in online communications and has always
offered an incredible range of services. They've developed important open source software as well. And of course, Google has done the most to preserve Usenet, with their indexing of millions of messages dating back to 1981: http://www.google.com/googlegroups/a...nounce_20.html Tom Stewart <tichini@gmail.com> wrote: > Not only did you insult Google users, but most AOL users as well. > I can't imagine that you believe this garbage. > > This is unacceptable and the kind of spam we don't tolerate here. > > comp.lang.php's charter states: "The ultimate goal is to create a > relaxed yet helpful environment in which people can seek answers > to general questions about PHP..." > > Personal insults will not be tolerated. > > > Tom Stewart <tichini@gmail.com> wrote: >> Michael Fesser <netizen@gmx.de> wrote: >>> It seems to me that Google is becoming the second AOL - almost only >>> idiots there. >> >> Insulting everyone who uses Google won't make you any friends here. >> |

I can only repeat what others have told you. This is a
newsgroup for discussing PHP, not your opinions on posting styles. By continuing to spam with off-topic posts and by removing [OT] from the subject line, you've proven that you have no respect for the readers of this newsgroup or for basic netiquette. Nobody here wants to read your spam. Keep doing it, and you'll find yourself killfiled like any other spammer. -- Tom Stewart, ATC Jerry Stuckle <jstucklex@attglobal.net> wrote: > Tom Stewart wrote: >> You missed the whole point. Try following the charter like everyone else,
instead of making up nonsense and resorting to personal attacks. -- Tom Stewart, ATC Jerry Stuckle <jstucklex@attglobal.net> wrote: > Tom Stewart wrote: >> Not only did you insult Google users, but most AOL users as well. >> I can't imagine that you believe this garbage. >> >> This is unacceptable and the kind of spam we don't tolerate here. >> >> comp.lang.php's charter states: "The ultimate goal is to create a >> relaxed yet helpful environment in which people can seek answers >> to general questions about PHP..." >> >> Personal insults will not be tolerated. >> >> > > Don't quote the charter to us, asshole. > > And in your case it's no insult - just the truth. > |

Defending a statement that insults anyone who uses AOL or
Google makes you look pretty ridiculous. You're a waste of time. Maybe somebody else can knock some sense into you. -- Tom Stewart, ATC Jerry Stuckle <jstucklex@attglobal.net> wrote: > Tom Stewart wrote: >> Michael Fesser <netizen@gmx.de> wrote: >>> You can ignore the thread, assuming you know how (obviously you don't). >> >> Why should everyone be forced to ignore your spam messages? You lost credibility in this thread when you resorted
to ad-hominem attacks instead of simply following the established rules like everyone else. All you've proven is that you're intent on being a disruption. -- Tom Stewart, ATC Jerry Stuckle <jstucklex@attglobal.net> wrote: > Tom Stewart wrote: >> You're doing nothing other than spamming comp.lang.php. >> >> If you feel the need to make off-topic comments, put [OT] in the subject like the previous poster already >> told you to do, so that the rest of us can skip this junk. Trying to invent rules in the charter that don't exist
won't help your case here. Especially when you repeatedly fail to put [OT] in your subjects to alert people that your posting off-topic. You get an F for your knowledge of netiquette. -- Tom Steward, ATC Jerry Stuckle <jstucklex@attglobal.net> wrote: > Tom Stewart wrote: >> Try following the charter like everyone else, >> instead of making up nonsense and resorting >> to personal attacks. >> > > Yep, Tom, try following the newsgroup netiquette - which includes > copying the relevant text you're replying to and not top posting. > |

You hijacked this thread by insisting on posting off-topic
and ignoring instructions to use [OT] in your subject line. Even after all that, you still think you're above the rules. You'll need to do better than "sorry," and start following the same rules as everyone else. -- Tom Stewart, ATC Jerry Stuckle <jstucklex@attglobal.net> wrote: > > Sorry, Tom. You've sent at lease 10 pieces of spam just in this
one thread. You can continue denying and resisting the rules, but you're only digging yourself into a deeper hole. Try studying this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Off-topic "Internet trolls will sometimes post off topic messages deliberately on internet forums to aggravate members or hijack a discussion." And read the charter, if you can find it. -- Tom Stewart, ATC Jerry Stuckle <jstucklex@attglobal.net> wrote: > > No, you lost credibility when you started top posting and made an ass of > yourself when people tried to gently correct you. > > Sorry, you're the idiot here.
