I am an expert PHP developer (At least I consider myself one, seeing
that I have done several projects as a freelancer and have made several big projects of my own), with 3 years of experience in PHP / MySQL, XHTML / CSS and XML, and I would like to work on a PHP job that didn't require me to have a degree. I wanted this because freelancing is very unstable and I am always desperate to find out if I get a project or not, and that is very bad for me. If you know of any place where I can look / apply for jobs that don't want any B.S. in computer sciences, or any other degree. I am very flexible with locations and would live anywhere where I was needed to work in. Thanks in advance. RageARC :) |

A quick google 'enschede php programmeur' told me: http://www.trimm.nl/ts/trimm.php?content=43014 http://jobsearch.nobiles.monsterboar...=NL&brd=1&jt=5 http://www.flashfocus.nl/forum/showthread.php?t=32963 http://www.link2design.nl/index.php/vacatures/ And that's just the ones I found in about 10 seconds... -- Rik Wasmus |

A degree is not a prerequisite here in the UK but it does help.
Mostly I would say that the major factor is being able to proove your skills, such as by having a protfolio to show them. Then there are always the 'professional' qualifications as opposed to 'academic' qualifications, such as the ZCE and the CMDEV (MySQL certified developer) that could be considered more relevant to the position.
