Default Replace the registered trademark "®" symbol.

Anyone know how I can remove this symbol from a string. I'm using vi
and do not know how to refer to this symbol in my script.

TIA

You could do it like this:
$string = str_replace(chr(174),"");

Overview of the chr() function:
http://no.php.net/chr

ASCII table (look at the "HTML codes" section for the numbers).

Thanks Kim,

What I went ahead and did was convert the string using urlencode and
then used str_replace to replace this string '%27.'

Much appreciated.
