extraction of sales leads information, we maintain the most complete
database of businesses with a web site.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As the web site developer, you will be involved in developping the
business data web service of Netvention which include:

- a search engine accessing over 11 million records in a MySQL
database ;
- account management and online payment modules ;
- online business data analysis tools.

Your activities at Netvention will cover:

- Upgrade and maintain Netvention's web sites and online database
- Participate in the design of our new web services
- Program the back-end of all web services including the search
engine, account management and business data online analysis tools
- Collaborate with the R&D team regarding new developments and web
services
- Improve and implement efficient database schemas and queries.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

You are a hands-on person who has worked with large and complex online
databases in your professional life. You have solid experience in
designing and implementing transactional web sites. You understand
that the success of web services critically depends on high quality
design and implementation of back-end components.


Mandatory requirements
*** At least 3 years experience with PHP *** on complex and large
MySQL database connected to a web site is a MUST.

Important requirements
Experience with transactional web site is also key. Previous work
experience with MySQL (at least 1 year), Javascript, CSS, XML,
Actionscript, Dreamweaver and Linux are stong assets. In-depth
understanding of the Internet networking is an asset.

Essential: 3 years of PHP programming experience
Essential: 1 year of MySQL
Essential: 3 years with SQL on large complex databases
Essential: Computer or engineering bachelor degree
Important: Transactional web site design experience
Important: Javascript, CSS, XML, Actionscript, Dreamweaver and Linux
experience
Important: Oracle database experience
Important: Very good written and spoken english



Other requirements:

Creative thinker and solid team player with very good interpersonal
skills a must. You should be able to handle important work load
involving multiple tasks under tight schedule. Very good project
management skills are essential. Good english technical writing skills
are required. BS required.
