Hi all,

i am trying to write php scripts using notepad but everytime i opened it, it
automatically disappears after a few seconds. it is really frustruating. i
cant write code. what can i do?

Hi,

That is not a PHP related problem.
That probably happens to a lot more things you open them in that screwed-up
notepad.
I expect something is broken in your OS.

Solution: Get a real OS or if you want to stick to M$, use a real editor.
I like Eclipse with PHP-plugin for development.

Eclipse is maybe a little too complicated for starters.
If so: Maybe try textpad. Google for it.
It has syntaxhighlighting which is a real help.
I used to do everything with textpad before I met Eclipse.

Breath; deep abdominal breaths. Inhale through the nose,
pause momentarily, then slowly exhale through the mouth.
Aim for six, seven or eight breaths a minute. Repeat until
worn out.

Best one I've found recently is notepad 2. Small lightweight but with
syntax highlighting, line numbers, find and replace. I've replaced
notepad with it and it is now my default text editor.

Posting a problem concerning an _editor_ sold by a convicted monopolist
to a ng dedicated to the _PHP_language_ is not very funny either.
