Is Dynix a SysV derivative with STREAMS? If so, try adding "-DSSHD_ACQUIRES_CTTY" to CFLAGS. Failing that, take a look in the system headers and see which of the the following exist on your platform: TCSETCTTY TIOCSCTTY TIOCNOTTY It's possible that it has TCSETCTTY, however sshd will only use that on UNICOS. Try hacking sshpty.c and replace the "#ifdef _UNICOS" with "#ifdef TCSETCTTY". Failing that, see if you can find some example code that sets a controlling terminal on Dynix and look at what it does... -- Darren Tucker (dtucker at zip.com.au) GPG key 8FF4FA69 / D9A3 86E9 7EEE AF4B B2D4 37C9 C982 80C7 8FF4 FA69 Good judgement comes with experience.
