You built OpenSSL and zlib with the same 64bit flags? If so did
openssl's "make tests" past?

Any particular reason you're compiling it 64 bit?

Anyway, looks like sshd is dying at this point:

Does the error occur with "UsePrivilegeSeparation no" in sshd_config?
