Works for me from 4.1p1 to 3.8p1.

The man pages for sshd talk about how to setup ~/.ssh/rc to call xauth
and pass in the proto and cookie depending on how X11UseLocalhost is set.

What does xauth show?

Is the .Xauthority file shared between machines?
