After 90 days of the same survey, and reports run on all that, if they decide that they want to run a new survey, then they're cutting the stream and starting a new one. In other words, a 'steam' only lasts for a period of time. We're not going to come up at the outset with the One True Survey to last until the end of time. > > The bottom line is - YOU DON'T CHANGE QUESTIONS IN THE MIDDLE OF A > SURVEY! By definition, when the Powers that Be decide to change questions, the current survey has ended, and we are starting a new survey. All I'm trying to do is make sure that, when we do decide to go ahead and end the old survey and start a new one, a user doesn't actually get a hybrid survey. They should either get one or the other. |

They should either get one or the other. That's fine then. You only need one set of questions. Each survey would have a separate ID (and you can have multiple surveys going at the same time, if you wish). So if the survey ends while someone is only partway through, when they come back you have a choice - either let them complete the survey (and possibly not count the answers because you've already run your reports), or give them a message indicating the survey has ended - and only count the results they entered up to that point. -- ================== Remove the "x" from my email address Jerry Stuckle JDS Computer Training Corp. jstucklex@attglobal.net ================== |
