Default Questions about MySQL 6.x

Any WAGs?

- mysql6 will clearly not be fully open, will it still be free to use?
Or will that be conditional?

- will mysql fork into a crippled free version, and a pay full
version?

- will web hosting companies move to mysql6, or will they just stick
with mysql 4/5?

- what market is sun targeting for mysql?

I guess you would get some answers if you visited
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/6.0.html

That is something you have to ask the web hosting companies.

I would guess they will market even more toward enterprise solutions,
but I could be wrong, as I don't have any sun sources.

"Enterprise" is pretty much "anything that has an actual budget to
spend" these days, as opposed to an expense account, so that's a
reasonable assuption as to where the focus will be. (:

MySQL 4/5 isn't free either.
