Default Can I use the same mysqld-nt.exe file to start multiple MySQLservices on Windows by specifying different port/database parameters?

I'm trying to use the same mysqld-nt.exe file in the same /bin folder
to start multiple MySQL services on Windows.

* I use mysqld-nt.exe --install to install services
* I use different service names
* I use different --defaults-file parameter (where I setup different
port and database location)

When I run one service the second one always terminates itself.

Thanks,
Anton

Look in the error log.
Did you change the socket name and/or port number in
the defaults file?
Sockets and ports can't be shared by different
instances of MySQL.

The port and the path to the database are different. What is the
socket?

I use different port number values and different path to the database
in my .ini files. What are sockets?

Thanks, I just found the problem and I'm running the same .exe file as
2 services with different options.

That shouldn't be a problem, as long as you have different config files.
