Default MySQL & MS SQLServer on same computer?

For experimental / learning purposes, I want to install MySQL on a
Windows XP computer that already has SQLServer installed and running
on it. Will this combination work ok? Do these two play well together?

Thanks for any advice.

It should work just fine. Ideally, they'll not play together at all and
will simply ignore each another.

You are right. A few years ago I did it and they didn't
bite eachother at all.

Ok - I've downloaded it, installed it, and everything appears to be
working as it should. Now I just have to learn how to do everything
that needs to be done. :)

Thanks for the feedback.

The first thing that needs to be done is format the drive and install
a real operating system.

Does SQLServer run on anything else than MS Windows
then? If not, your advice will not meet the OPs needs.

Here, we are concerned with MySQL. MySQL runs as well on Windows as it
does on *BSD. OS advocacy isn't necessary, useful or helpful.
