Clueless SQL newbie setting up horde / turba

I am setting up horde and turba (contacts manager) using the MySQL
database.

I know absolutely nothing about SQL or MySQL except that it's a relational
database. That's it. I have gotten far enough in the horde setup to
the section where it says "Creating databases" and that's as far as I can
go.

If any of you have installed horde and turba, can you offer some advice as
to how much I need to know about MySQL in order to get it to work?

Can you suggest any online tutorials that I can study to get a basic MySQL
knowledge? I have googled and gone thorough mysql.org and the only thing
there is a reference manual that assumes a fairly high degree of knowledge
of SQL.
