Hi Leos,

Thank you for touching base on this issue with me. The details on my confi=
guration are built on 14 switches with minimal modifications:

' /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/cfgmaker \ =

' --global 'WorkDir: /home/marcus/public_html/work' \
' --global 'Options[_]: bits,growright' \
' --global 'LogFormat: rrdtool' \
' --output '/home/marcus/public_html/cgi-bin/config_1.cfg' \
' public@AF-ENG-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-ENG-SW-02.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-MKT-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@Af-TRN-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-SRV-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-SRV-SW-02.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-PRD-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-FRT-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-FRT-SW-02.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@AF-FRT-SW-03.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@DN-USR-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@DN-USR-SW-02.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@DN-SRV-SW-01.BULLYDOG.COM \
' public@HQCATALYST.BULLYDOG.COM

The index maker configuration is just as simple:

' /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/indexmaker ./cgi-bin/config_1.cfg \
' --output=3Dindex.html

The problem manifests itself in a peculiar way that is somewhat hard to des=
cribe. When the index.html is displayed, some of the graphs for individual=
channels/ports on some of the switches are the same. They the same to the=
point of the graph, statistics and, rrd data file as well.

For instance, on AF-ENG-SW-01, channels 1, 2, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17,=
18, 22, 24 and 26, are all active on this 26 port switch as shown by a gra=
ph. Of those channels, 1, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16 and, 18, all have the same=
graph, statistics and rrd data files.

I am doubtful that 8 of the 14 active channels can have the exact same usea=
ge.

Also, the same graph is repeated on the AF-ENG-SW-02 switch as well on mult=
iple channels as well.

Thank you for your observance of this problem.

Hi Marcus,

It's not very much information, but try checking duplicated running
mrtg e.g. in crontab, check log files which mrtg runs with which cfg.
If no error found, provide more information. ;))

Leos.
