Why in the config are you using =

1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3
and when using snmpget using
1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3.1
?
Wouldn't it make more sense to use the full OID that you know returns the
correct value?>

Subject: [mrtg] Help reading the OIDs for a Emerson/Libert unit

Hi all =85 I=92m kind of at my wit=92s end with this problem and not sure w=
hat I=92m
doing wrong in the MRTG side of things.=A0 I don=92t do a lot of =93custom=
=94 cfg
files relying mainly on the cfgmaker.

I have a Liebert 22 Ton CRAC unit in my data center and I=92d like to use it
as a temp sensor for that part of the computer room.=A0 I believe I have the
correct OID but MRTG doesn=92t seem to evaluate/expand it right or I have
something else wrong in the config file:

Running the MRTG program yields:

env LANG=3DC /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/Liebert-AC-4-temp.cfg
2008-04-08 10:31:28: ERROR: Target[liebert-ac-4][_IN_]
'.1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3. $target->[0]{$mode} ' evaluated to
'=C7*19773129' instead of a number
2008-04-08 10:31:28: ERROR: Target[liebert-ac-4][_OUT_]
'.1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3. $target->[0]{$mode} ' evaluated to
'=C7*38089656' instead of a number

../snmpget.pl -c 'RO-snmp-string=92 <ip of liebert webcard>
..1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3.1

Returns:

..1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3.1 =3D INTEGER: 73

Persuing the docs didn=92t yield too much that would point me in the right
direction=85if anyone has ever tackled something like this I=92d appreciate=
the
help.
