Hi, Currently I have a Mysql database with several tables, or lists, or email addresses. I basically wrote some perl scripts that use Net::SMTP to send out the email. I am running Postfix & CentOS. Sometimes I have big issues with the bounces even though I use perl module Mail::CheckUser. I have some opt out screens and such, which were required to keep me off all the blacklists. Someone suggested to me to run Mailman, as checking for bounces would be easier, also Net::SMTP is old. Can I implement a configuration where the lists are still kept within Mysql and I'm using Postfix while running Mailman? I assume that the purpose of Mailman is to take the place of all the Perl scripts I have written?? Correct? Also, what about the content of the message? Right now I use another script to read the content and construct the letter and send it out.......does that change? Thanks for your time. |
