Postfix does not reference the /etc/aliases or /etc/aliases.db file.
when logwatch sends the email to root, it actually tries to send it to root vs the alias which is root: allsec@mydomain.com. Here is postconf -n: [root@dev postfix]# postconf -n alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases command_directory = /usr/sbin config_directory = /etc/postfix daemon_directory = /usr/libexec/postfix debug_peer_level = 2 html_directory = no inet_interfaces = $myhostname, localhost mail_owner = postfix mail_spool_directory = /var/spool/mail mailbox_size_limit = 104857600 mailq_path = /usr/bin/mailq.postfix manpage_directory = /usr/share/man message_size_limit = 20971520 mydestination = localhost mydomain = mydomain.com myhostname = dev.mydomain.com mynetworks = 10.1.1.0/24, 127.0.0.0/8 myorigin = $mydomain newaliases_path = /usr/bin/newaliases.postfix queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix readme_directory = /usr/share/doc/postfix-2.2.10/README_FILES relay_domains = $mydestination sample_directory = /usr/share/doc/postfix-2.2.10/samples sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail.postfix setgid_group = postdrop unknown_local_recipient_reject_code = 550 [root@dev postfix]# I've ran postalias /etc/aliases and restarted postfix. No luck. I've read a bunch of problems like mine but the solutions often do not work. Any help would be great!
