Default Anybody using memcached for postfix maps?

I'm thinking of trying out memcached (http://www.danga.com/memcached/)
for a cluster of machines that have a few domains using address_verify
maps with check_recipient_access.

I found an older patch to postfix for read-only memcached maps.
Anybody done a read-write map for this? It seems that it could be idea
for this sort of use, particularly when it would beneficial for
multiple servers to be able to access the same distributed cache, but
where permanence isn't such a concern.

Thanks-

Ed
