That has the same problems. BT Yahoo are now insisting on all their
clients using SMTP-AUTH, but it hasn't yet stopped some of their clients
sending me spam. In fact I've been getting spam through BT's central
servers for years.


Not as much as from US cable/DSL clients admittedly.

I do not reply to directly addressed mail unless it is clearly a matter
that should be dealt with off-list.
