=20 > nope, not at all...yes, it was answered that postfix is=20 > messed up now, but how can I recover to a known good postfix? If you have a backup, use that. If not, build it from source, unless someone has created an installable package for your OS. Postfix-on-OSX may be the pathological case of non-standard builds, but every UNIX variant has some variation from the One True UNIX. That's = why they are called "variants." One builds software from source to link the = new executables to the versions of libraries actually present on the target machine. This is especially important if the libraries are in = non-standard locations, or if the machine or OS in question requires other accommodations. =20 > change OS... god you're funny... you obviously don't have a=20 > clue about running an IT department. Oh, I dunno about that.=20 =20 > oh well, any informed people out there? or just people=20 > wanting to spout off their heads? I don't know which of those categories I fall into. I'd love to give = you more specific help, but I don't know anything about OSX or the way to = build Postfix on it. You probably need help from someone with OSX-specific experience. If you find such a person, I suggest you resist the urge to abuse him if he cannot provide instant gratification. > www.igods.com If one read your website, and believed it, one might get the idea that = you would be dispensing advice, not asking for it. =20 I'm sorry I don't know enough to give you more help with OSX. I might = be able to help on the interpersonal-relations front, though. -Shel |
