Hang on - you just said that it's possible to do piped delivery from a
mailbox defined in the virtual table, suddenly we're back to the local
table again.

Just to be clear, I know the local delivery agent can deliver mail to
piped commands. Can the virtual delivery agent deliver piped mail to
commands?

The mailserver is an LDAP pop toaster - the LDAP is an integral part of
the system, take it out and there is no mailserver. LDAP isn't something =
I
can "optionally put in later" as it's already the basis on which the
entire system runs.

I am adding local deliveries to a virtual mailserver (which happens to
store the virtual maps in LDAP), not the other way around.
