New question new thread. The issue of the local delivery not working is
not related to the question of delivery to |pipe from a virtual mailbox.

The LDAP config has been there for over two years and is an integral part
of the setup, so I'm not taking it out to put it back in again.

This is good news about the |pipe being supported - will try it over the
weekend and confirm whether I got it working or not. Thank you for the
confirmation.
