He said "when starting a new thread". Your reply, despite the changed
subject line is not a new thread, it's a reply to unattributed's message.

Please also learn to context quote. This mailing list has many excellent
examples of good mannered mail users whose examples of quoting,
attribution, thread use and such provide a fine example.

If this is not enough, then there is other good advice[1] available.


If you are looking for answers to the question only in the subject line,
there is AWStats[2] which can parse Postfix logs and produce pretty web
based reports.

If you're looking for reports and summaries, then Jim Seymour's
"pflogsumm.pl" is a good choice, as is Peter Bieringer's "pflogstats"[3]
(based on pflogsumm.pl). Even a minimal effort on your part would have
discovered this.
