I partially agree with Viktor here that=20 yes, MTAs need to be handled by decent system=20 admins - however, there are many occasions where=20 someone who is not a professional admin gets=20 thrown in at the deep end by their company after=20 a professional has vacated a position, leaving=20 the poor soul without any knowledge & needing=20 solutions quickly. As this is the Postfix 'users' list, I=20 would have thought that it would be the best=20 place. Maybe there needs to be 3 lists - one for=20 beginners, one for regular users & a 3rd for=20 professionals. The above said, nobody should post=20 indiscriminate information & hope to find help.=20 They should post a preliminary message with=20 summarised information about the problem & then=20 list membersd can reply with what suitable=20 information they should extract from their logs=20 etc... Getting hysterical helps nobody, least of=20 all the person trying to solve their problem -=20 get on with the job & post the information. -- Bye for now, Terry Allen=20 __________________________________________________ _________________ hEARd Postal Address: hEARd, 26B Glenning Rd, Glenning Valley, NSW 2261, Australia Internet - WWW: http://heard.com.au http://itavservices.com EMAIL: hmag@ozemail.com.au Phone: Australia - 02 4388 1400 / International - + 61 2 43881400 Mobile: Australia - 04 28881400 / International - 61 4 28881400 ----------------------------------------------- Non profit promotion for new music - since 1994 ----------------------------------------------- |
