I never said anything of the sort. I _know_ that I'm not running any of the daemonised versions, and I never said that I was. To quote my original post "We virus check all email with amavis perl" and then I gave the master.cf line which uses a pipe transport, not an smtp transport. I shall switch to using a demonised version of amavis when I've got Postfix 2.1 and my new mail servers. That way I can set them up and test them properly before putting them live, rather than upgrading a live system and hoping, and possibly making a mistake and screwing up the entire company's email. -- Ian Prideaux System Administrator http://www.sift.co.uk/ Trap for Address Gathering Robots mailto:aceman@accountingweb.com Do Not Use |
