ok,
I think it would be an useful feature, and it is fairly easy to
implement.
Also having this would allow the sasl plugin path to appear in postconf
output, which would be nice.
Only drawback is if it is considered too confusing, but probably it is
going to be less confusing than current debian implementation :)
