Ok, As I explained last night, I have postfix set up and running along with i= pop3.=20 I now need to set up the server to accept mail for non-local domains. My question is this, I have read in the docs that there are two different virtual setups: 1. Virtual alias domains and 2. virtual mailbox domains I am confused as to which to use and also the difference between the two,= would someone please explain the difference. I am also assuming that I now have to set up the aliases hash db and to p= ut into this file all the domains that do not reside on the mail server that I wa= nt to accept mail for, like so: johndoe@remotedomain.com ----> johndoe This is my understanding that any mail sent to the server for johndoe@remotedomain.com will be deliverd to the local mail box for johnd= oe,=20 John Doe will then be able to pullmail of this server with his Outlook ma= il client. Please someone tell me if this is correct or if I am way off base. Thanks, Bernie--=20 ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. |
