------=_NextPart_000_020F_01C3E471.41AD4E20 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable OK, I've removed everything mail-wise from the system (FreeBSD = 4.8-RELEASE on i386). Starting from scratch, I've installed Postfix 2.0.16 from the ports tree = (/usr/ports/mail/postfix) and configured postfix to start with the = system (/usr/local/etc/rc.d/postfix.sh) After starting postfix with zero configuration, there's nothing screwy = in the logs, and no maillog (yet.) My question, relating to aliases and lookup tables, is this: Do I need = both, or just one (or the other)? (Weird. I just started postfix with zero configuration, and just = received 2 test messages I tried sending last night. Wow!) ------=_NextPart_000_020F_01C3E471.41AD4E20 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.3810.1700" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>OK, I've removed everything mail-wise = from the=20 system (FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE on i386).</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Starting from scratch, I've installed = Postfix=20 2.0.16 from the ports tree (/usr/ports/mail/postfix) and configured = postfix to=20 start with the system (/usr/local/etc/rc.d/postfix.sh)</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>After starting postfix with zero = configuration,=20 there's nothing screwy in the logs, and no maillog (yet.)</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>My question, relating to aliases and = lookup tables,=20 is this: Do I need both, or just one (or the other)?</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>(Weird.
