A good review is not of the form "It's great" vs. "It sucks" variant. Better would be to address the question of what the book covers well and which users it is most suited for. "The Definitive Guide" appears to me to be a reasonably comprehensive introduction to *Postfix* for new users. It is not a book about Spam Assasin, POP-before-smtp, RBL list selection, ... It is not a book for experienced users looking for low level details to aid performance tuning and troubleshooting for high volume sites. The Postfix community is likely diverse enough to be well served by multiple books. Keep those books coming... -- Viktor. |
