I am about the register a domain, and would like to know your
recommendations for the best Hosting company. The site will be very small and will have few external links (Well only to established names like security companies / Anti spyware sites etc. This page is in addition to my Small Computer upgrade/repair business and is primarily an advert for the business, however I want to make it scalable for the future. The site may be small enough for me to host but don't have a clue on how any of this works! If this is the wrong newgroup please re-direct me. Thank you for your time Dave McMahon |

The site may Most UK ISPs offer website hosting in their standard home or small business packages. Find out what your current provider offers, and/or look around for the best deal. As for scalability, just make sure *you* own your domain name and don't sign a contract that lets them hold it to ransom. That means you can move it any time you need to - and even if they're good now, that could change rapidly if one or two key people move on. -- Nick Kew |
