Default which LDAP module to use?

Hello. We are looking at offering LDAP auth through apache. However, I
am confused about what LDAP module to use.

I see six listed on http://modules.apache.org/search for apache 1.3

I have also been told mod_auth_ldap from Rudedog. Although all I see
from his site is auth_ldap.
Is there a latest one inclusive of the most features?

Thanks
John

It's called auth_ldap. If you're considering migrating to Apache 2 in the
future, then auth_ldap is a good choice since the LDAP module that is
bundled with Apache 2 is based on auth_ldap, so your transition will be
simpler, since the directives will be the same.
