Hi,
I'm doing cross-compile of apache from Solaris to Powerpc linux as Non-root user. I need to change install root as in Apache 1.3.x, so that I can package Apache and later install on Linux system. If I use prefix as /usr/apache, I don't have permission to create files on Solaris. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jerome |

You could always run make make -n install and use the output of the second command as a guide for manually installing. Run it under "script" to collect the output. That way the permissions on solaris won't matter. You will be manually installing on your linux system. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (SunOS) iD8DBQFBWOwPvmGe70vHPUMRAsTTAJ4nV1EqUqLYf+rpbpFwkI ppSO0EOACfd1mE aTpJ8anTUeXYdCZs2RahxFw= =lEeq -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
