subversion web-dav with apache2

Hello,
This is kind of not apache-specific so replies might want to be private.
I'm trying to set up subversion for use as a server using apache2. I've got
the dav module loaded, but i am hitting a wall as to why it isn't working.
If anyone has a subversion server i would appreciate a reply.
