I ask because I'm curious on how some ISPs provide a service whereby they can enable hosting for a website at the click of a button.. I used to use such an ISP in the UK that could do this... FYI: I'm using Apache 1.3 latest... |

When I add/change my virtual hosts, they are not recognised if I do an # apache restart however, if I perform # apache stop # apache start they are recognised/activated... But... If I do a stop/start, I'll loose connections, true? I don't want this... So... If I am left with stop/start as the only way to activate virtual hosts... then... How do some ISPs who provide virtual hosting allow folk instant virtual hosting activation? Cheers randell d. |
