virthost problem apache 2

hi folks,

i've got a funny problem with my virtual hosts under apache2:
whenever i enter a url of a vhost within a browser, i get the
index.htm file from the default server, not the vhost! if i enter
www.myvhost.com/index.htm manually, everything works perfect.
does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
