Default Segfault in apache 2.0.47

Hi all,

i'm getting a great problem with apache 2.0.47 . It's compiled and running
on a slackware 8.1 installed on a P IV 2.53 Mhz.

When i starts apache all goes ok. After 4/5 hours i get this error:

[notice] seg fault or similar nasty error detected in the parent process

with of course many

[notice] child pid 3698 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Searching on google i've found that this problem can be due to an hardware
error. I've try to recompile my kernel, reboot my server but all works fine.
So what can be the problem?

Thanks

Stefano

Just wondering - if your searches thus far has directed you towards a
possible hardware problem, I'm wondering if you've found any messages in
your system log files?

exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

This error message could go away if you remove the DIMM or SIMM from
the system and reseat it again. I have solved a problem recently by
doing so.

"I took your advice and reseated the RAM and the segmentation error
went away."

Thanks
