hi:
could anyone here give me some advices regarding professional proxy servers? we need proxy servers for content filtering. i underatnd that we can always go with unix plus squid, but we need something simple and as lilltle maintannace as possible. personally i prefer some kind of box specially for the the filtering only instead of gernal OS (unix type) plus proxy/filtering software. any suggestions will be greatlt appreciated. tia dave |

Its calle CensorNet... http://www.intrago.co.uk/products/censornet.php or http://www.censornet.com .... according to the magazine, and the cover of the CD it has the following to boast about - Easy Installation - Filter websites by URL, keywords or even images - Autmatic network configuration - User-level control - Limit bandwidth on user-by-user basis - Instantly ban or allow sites - Detailed reports on each user. Sounds good - but again... I've not tried it yet (its supposed to be configurable via the web browser). I'd be interested in hearing from you if you give it a try... |
