Default Q) Embedded Apache Web Server?

Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone out there has any experience with embedded
Apache web servers. Specifically I want to know if it is possible to
install a stripped-down/barebones version of the Apache Server that
can be easily installed in an embedded Linux environment. There are
various reasons why we want to go with Apache, not the least of which
is the licensing cost.

Does anyone have any numbers for the smallest possible memory
footprint for the Apache web server? Are there suggestions for
embedded web servers that don't entail the hidden "run-time" licensing
fee?

Thanks,
Kong

You could, but Apache probably isn't such a good choice.

There are lots of free web servers that would work well in an embedded
environment. Which is the best for you depends on what features you
need. You already have the idea that Apache has features you need,
so perhaps you could start by saying which those are.
