Default Help: About OPIE

Hello,

I'm willing to find a package which is similar with OPIE for Linux.
However, I download the opie 2.4 source package I can't compile
successfully. So it there any suitable opie packages?

Source packages and RPM are both okay. My Linux is RHEL 3.

Thank you very much~

Regards,

Amy Lee

What errors did you get when you tried to compile the source?
I don't know about Red Hat, but these packages are available for Ubuntu:

libopie-dev - OPIE library development files.
libpam-opie - Use OTPs for PAM authentication
opie-client - OPIE programs for generating OTPs on client machines
opie-server - OPIE programs for maintaining an OTP key file

There are RPM's and SRPM's available over at http://rpm.pbone.net/.
That's a very helpful site, but I'd suggest working from SRPM's in
order to resolve any changed dependencies for your particular OS.

Thanks everyone. I've download set up okay. However, I hope I can use opie
when I remote login by ssh or something else. I don't know how to do that.
Can anyone give me a tip?

Thanks again~

You seem to be a long way off topic here at comp.os.linux.security

What are you trying to do? SSH from the OPIE? To the OPIE? Are you
trying to get a remote screen?

Try asking on a more pertinent newsgroup.

C.
