Dozens, made for Linux MTA/file server with doze clients behind needing protection, most are iirc commercial, though you may find some free (searching freshmeat.net). Simply tossing doze saves you wasting your time with all the stuff. -- Michael Heiming (X-PGP-Sig > GPG-Key ID: EDD27B94) mail: echo zvpunry@urvzvat.qr | perl -pe 'y/a-z/n-za-m/' #bofh excuse 254: Interference from lunar radiation |

However, if you want to remove viruses from a ntfs partition, your best bet is a knopicillin cd with the commercial paragon ntfs driver in r/w mode - this cd also includes fprot, sophos and kaspersky commandline scanners running on linux for disinfecting windows partitions. You can then also install the samba-vscan vfs module to do an on-access-scan of your samba fileshares. There is also a (free for private use) f-prot for linux with automatic updates. -- Longhorn error#4711: TCPA / NGSCP VIOLATION: Microsoft optical mouse detected penguin patterns on mousepad. .... > http://www.clamav.net/ > > :D Yeah, I ran ClamAV on my system, and the only virus it found was on my WindowsXP hard disk partition-- a virus that was in the folder of a cheap $10 game I had recently installed (some F-16 fighter jet game in a jewel case I bought at best buy). Amazing, people worry about open source and md5 checksums for worm-free linux software, and the virus on my system was on the WinXP partition. My linux system was clean. -- "It said it needed Windows98 or better installed, so I installed Linux." |
