Folks, I downloaded clamav-0.83.tar.gz and related .sig file. How do I
extract the files from here and install the anti-virus on the machines ? Can you please provide step-by-step instructions, am trying to learn a little. Thanks, Raj. |

Tar 101 for newbies, first step, click up a terminal and do a man tar For any tar archive, you unpack the tar archive that is gnu zipped (.gz) with the command tar zxvf clamav-0.83.tar.gz you the do a ls -a and start looking around for readme/install/makefiles to see what is going on. You might even find a url where you can find documentation/FAQs. |
