Linux can have virus' that attack the GOT (Global Offset Table) for one.
Many more example's of this would 1) be to insert code into read-only (< 1024) upon completion of arbitrary code injection. 2) Inserting and overwriting (> 1024) Read-Write of GOT A little example would to have a compiling action trigger a bunch of 'mysterious' TMP files in /tmp...think about it, it shouldnt be too hard to write one.. seeweed |
