Hi
I have been looking at various firewall options, Smoothwall 2.0 express has had a lot of high praises and accolates. As a network admin I am also interested in knowing if anyone has had any problems or nasty issues with it and more importantly is it less prone to being rooted due to its faily custom nature? Many thanks Paul M |

The good thing about smoothwall is that it runs on a dedicated computer, updates are patched frequently. Badboy |

If you're looking for a free firewall, then I would recommend Smoothwall, Smoothwall works on very low powered machines and very effective. Astro is free, but you have to pay for the advance features, checkout their website or linux format magazine. Badboy |
