loose root

Default loose root

hi there i have funny problem on my yellow dog champion 1.2
in just installed :)
i have system crash and after that
i just cant login as root or any user with uid=0 but by ssh i can login as root
and even better users with shell=/bin/false can login normally :]
any one know why it does happend?

Check /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow and /etc/pam.d/* files.

What happens if you run /bin/false as a user? Are there any signs that
/etc/group, /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow have been recently modified?
