I'm not sure if this is an XScreenSaver, Gnome, or Rdesktopt problem or what but I'm running a fully patched version of Fedora 2. If I make an desktop connection to a Windows XP box fire up Word and any document, then lock the Fedora Gnome desktop, type my password into the XscreenSaver dialog window to unlock Gnome my password shows up in plain text within Word in the rdesktop connection!!!! I dont even know how to go about diagnosing this problem! This is the Fedora app versions but its all out of the box stuff. rdesktop-1.3.1-3 xscreensaver-4.14-5 kernel-2.6.6-1.435 Here is the Windows Stuff: Windows XP SP 1 with all patches MS Word (XP) 2002 SP3 |

Possible that a upgrade of rdesktop is needed. Micke |

Unfortunately, I have no means of verifying this as I have no rdesktop connections with which to try. -- -John (john@os2.dhs.org) |

This was reported to sourceforge(dot)net two days ago by someone else. |
