not able to connect to https

hi,

I have mozilla running on RH9.0 based box.
I want to go to https pages but the browser says: "You cannot connect to
host becase SSL is disabled"
So, in mozzila preferences all of the SSL options are enabled.
What should I check or set/tuning in order to able to use my brower for
secure pages?
