I had a read of that but what threw me was the mention of PPTP. It looks like
a typo and they meant to type PPPoE but who knows.......

I find that it help to reset to factory settings before attempting to
configure for bridge mode. also if the modem has a firewall turn it off! I
dont know your model spacificly, but can look it up if you get desperate.

Setting up IPcop should be easy, its a great program. You will need to know
what ppp your adsl uses, ie pppoe, pppoa etc. once you have that (get it
from the modem config before restting the modem) you can tell ipcop to do
the ppp login for you.

you may have succesfully setup the modem in your past effits, but it will
not work until you set ipcop to do a ppp login.


Your modem may also be able to do the ppp login, and then go to bridge mode.
his would be a better way of doing it, if avaliable.

Thanks. Got it going. The screwup was being caused by the mux type. Had to
change it from aal5 to LLC to get it going. As soon as I did that it all came
to life.
