Logon logs of VSFTPD

Hello, I am using RH9 with vsftp.

In the files in /var/log/, I can not found any logon records of my FTP
server.
How can I configure my computer to force it to write down users' logon
records?
Can it tell me both success and fail logon records?

The log is present in /var/log/vsftpd.log,

x86

They are probably in /var/log/messages
