Bastille Curses on RH 8.0 I know this reply is late but I just came across the message regarding the problem with Bastille, Redhat 8.0 & stumbled upon the required solution myself. Redhat 8.0, x86 Initially I installed the following rpm's and got the error "WARNING: /usr/bin/perl cannot find Perl module Tk." Bastille-2.1.1-1.0.i386.rpm Bastille-Tk-module-1.2.0-1.1mdk.noarch.rpm perl-Tk-800.022-11.i386.rpm Using these commands: #rpm -ivh perl-Tk-800.022-11.i386.rpm Bastille-Tk-module-1.2.0-1.1mdk.noarch.rpm #rpm -ivh Bastille-2.1.1-1.0.i386.rpm Using #rpm -qal | grep perl-Tk showed that only the 'docs' had been installed for the perl-Tk rpm. I removed all the aboved mentioned rpm's and started again. This time I used the following rpm's: Bastille-2.1.1-1.0.i386.rpm perl-Tk-800.023-9mdk.i586.rpm pwlib-1.3.3-5.i386.rpm Using these commands: #rpm --nodeps -ivh pwlib*rpm perl-Tk*rpm #rpm -ivh Bastille-2.1.1-1.0.i386.rpm This time it all worked. The Bastille web site does have these instructions but they are hidden, it would be nice to see it in the install docs. cheers Luie |
