Default network traffic tracing

I'm running FC3 and using dsl, I like to know how I can check that local
network traffic is not spilling to the outside through the dsl connection?.

Install ntop (http://freshmeat.net/projects/ntop/ ) and observe the traffic
on the interface that provides the internet connection.
